Ashley Wilson
Founder of Expat Horses
For over 35 years Ashley has been riding and competing in hunter/jumpers. She has shown throughout the US, and placed at several notable horse shows including Devon, Pennsylvania National Horse Show, Washington International Horse Show, and Alltech National Horse Show. In 2013, she was Grand Amateur Owner Champion at The Saratoga Classic and received the National Horse of the Year in the Amateur Owner 3'3 Younger Division with her horse, Soho. In 2020, she finished first in the Zone 2 Adult Amateur Older Section with her horse Wow!, and in 2021, she was Reserve Champion at the Zone 2 Hunter Final in the Amateur Owner 3'3 Older Section with her horse Diacara.
Personally, Ashley lived in Europe from 2013-2016 while she followed her husband's career as a Professional Hockey Player. During that time she was able to find several incredible horses, connect and build relationships with several breeders and European horse trainers, and thus the birth of Expat Horses.
Today, Ashley finds herself either working on her company Bar Down Investments, working with her horses, or spending time with her family consisting of a very supportive husband and two future riding stars!
